This course introduces the shooter to the correct procedures required to effectively and safely draw and re-holster a handgun from a defensive mindset. Holster types (retention levels, advantages and disadvantages will also be discussed). Qualification is valid for 12 months from the date of the class. Upon successful completion, CSA Members will be permitted to in the Tactical Range during authorized hours. The current practice program for Members is Tactical Response Practice.
- Strong side hip holster
- Sturdy Belt
- Two or more magazines or speed loaders
- 100 rounds of ammunition
- Eye and Ear protection
Basic Firearm handling skills, such as those acquired in a Basic Pistol or First Steps Pistol class are required, prior to taking this course.
